NPC's training department in conjunction with the Atlas Copco of Sweden organized a daylong seminar on centrifugal and reciprocal pumps at the NPC's headquarters where some 100 participants took part at the event. B. Wagner, Atlas Copco Compressors' Technical Manager in Germany and T. Denis, the company's Sales Manager in France conducted the seminar. Important factors involved in designing and material selection for pumps manufacture were among topics discussed at the seminar.
NPC representatives in a maintenance training course
Representatives from two of the NPC's fertilizer manufacturing complexes attended a training course on maintenance of fertilizer plants, which was held in India. The course entitled Senior Maintenance Engineers in Fertilizer Industry 2000 convened on June 26-July 1.
Rahbaran Petrochemical Company, the management training arm of NPC, conducted the following training programs in the month of June. Foreign experts and university professors from the US and the UK were invited to Tehran to share the latest developments in these programs.
Environment training workshop
This was a two-day workshop set up for the benefit of 30 staff members drawn from various NPC's petrochemical complexes who were involved in different environmental affairs. Dr. John Hugh Dennis, a senior member of the teaching staff and Dr. Michael John French, head of the environment department, both from Bradford University in the UK conducted the workshop.
Environment Impact Assessment
The Environment Impact Assessment workshop aimed at analyzing the impact of various projects on the environment. This was a one-day workshop offered separately to 4 categories of the NPC personnel and project managers. The International Consortium for the Management and Technology of Energy, Environment and Ecology assisted in the workshop. Dr. Mansouri and Dr. Najib served as the instructors.
