NPC production and export results

NPC produced over 3.8m tons of various petrochemicals from the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year, which started on March 20, 2000, until July 21, 2000. This is 3% up on the results of the same period last year. NPC exports reached over $242m during the same period showing about 43% increase over the performance in the corresponding period last year.

Two NPC complexes won Quality Gold Award

Arak and Tabriz petrochemical companies, two of the NPC subsidiaries, received the Quality Summit Gold Award for Excellence and Business Prestige. The International Selection Committee of the Business Initiative Directions (BID) qualified the complexes for the award. The award, classified in the gold, platinum and diamond categories, is given to companies, which have shown corporate achievement, to recognize quality and excellence within one or several of the following concepts:

Customer Satisfaction, Communication Strategies, Benchmarking, Information and Data Analysis, Leadership, Planning and Decision-making, Human Resources, Continuing Education and Training, Processes and Production, Business Results, ISO 9000, TQM.

The award presentation ceremony took place at the New York Marriot Marquis Hotel, New York, USA, on July 16.
