Tehran has played host to Iran Plast 2005 Exhibition on 3-6 December 2005. The event has drawn close to 700 local and foreign participants. The exhibition covered an area of 31,000m2, in 12 halls at Tehran's Permanent Fairground. International exhibitors included from Austria, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Malaysia, China, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, The Netherlands, Turkey and United Arab Emirates. The event was organized by NPC and Iran International Exhibition Company (IIEC) with the collaboration of Italian Plastics Rubber Processing and Moulds Manufacturers' Association (Assocomaplast), Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Gesell & Co., Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association (VDMA), Internationaler Messe- und Ausstellungsdienst GmbH (IMAG), Turkish Plastics Industry Association (PAGEV), Korea Plastic Processing Machinery Industrial Cooperative (KPPMIC), Korea's Interfairs Co. Ltd., Taiwan's Fairs Communications Int'l Co. Ltd. and Iran-German Chamber of Commerce. The exhibition was organized under four categories: Raw materials & auxiliaries; Semi-finished products, technical parts and reinforced plastics; Machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industries and Services.
