NPC and UDC of Qatar signed a joint feasibility study

On June 25, 2000, NPC and the United Development Company (UDC) of Qatar signed a letter of intent to launch a joint feasibility study aiming to develop a linear alkyl benzene (LAB) plant in Bandar Abbas, south of Iran on joint investment basis. According to the letter of intent, the feasibility study shall be concluded by the end of July 2000. This plant is in addition to a 50,000-t/y LAB facility that NPC will set up in the western province of Kermanshah (NPC News Bulletin 1).
