NPC's full year production reached a record level of over 13.97m tonnes of various petrochemicals in the Iranian calendar year of 1382 (19 March 2003- 19 March 2004) compared with 13.1m tonnes in the preceding year registering an increase of 6.6%.
Exports soared 31.1% to $1.23bn. In volume terms, they reached 4.68m tonnes. NPC's main export destinations were the Far East (excluding China) with 36%, China with 17%, the Indian subcontinent with 16%, the Middle East with 13% and Southeast Asia with 10%. Europe accounted for 3% and the rest of the world for 5% of the exports.
Domestic sales reached 4.8m tonnes worth Rials 9,384bn showing 27% increase over the previous year's earnings.
