Iranian petroleum minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh says the year 2003 will witness a considerable build-up in the country's petrochemical output. Addressing the eighth Iran Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals Show, Zanganeh said that NPC prepared to bring several projects onstream including the third methanol project, the third aromatics facility, an engineering polymers plant, a large part of olefin No. 7 plus a number of expansion projects including an ethoxylate project in Arak, an ABS plant in Tabriz and a crystal melamine plant in Khorasan. In addition to these projects, the minister said two NGL recovery units - NGL 1200, 1300 would also be operational in 2003 providing an additional 40,000 b/d of feed for Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex.


Zanganeh stated that during the past five years, Iran has signed over $20bn worth of contracts for its oil, gas and petrochemical projects spelling production increase in the three sectors and creation of job opportunities.






NPC will host the 3rd Fieldbus International Exhibition from June 10-12 in Tehran. The three-day exhibition is expected to attract tens of international companies specifically those, which possess state-of-the-art control systems in processing plants.
25 local companies together with several foreign companies from Japan, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Canada, UK, Brazil and Japan attended the 2nd Fieldbus International Exhibition two years ago. The 3rd exhibition focuses on introduction of modern industrial automation, instrumentation and control systems. It will serve as a venue for major players in the business to promote their technologies and products. Combined with smart field devices, the fieldbus technology is believed to reduce tremendously downtimes and increase efficiency. But in order to obtain this dramatic efficiency a number of tools and applications must be orchestrated to realize the promised e-manufacturing.



This exhibition is about the overall e-manufacturing technologies and solutions from intelligent sensors and actuators to expert decision support systems.
