NPC News Bulletin-NPC bade farewell to a longstanding colleague-March 2000

Those who know NPC, most probably know Dr. Mansour Moazami as well. Moazami, who holds Ph.D. in strategic management, headed the oil and gas department of the Plan and Budget Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran for several years.
He then served as Chairman and Managing Director of Iran National Liquefied Gas Company. Dr. Moazami joined NPC in early 90s, as Chairman & Managing Director of Kharg Petrochemical Company.
A member of the Board of Directors of NPC, he headed the NPC's Planning and Development Department until early 1998 when he was appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Petrochemical Commercial Company (PCC), which is responsible for local and external trading of the NPC's products.
After his years with NPC, he decided to start a new career in diplomatic service and was named Iran's Ambassador to Brazil in March 2000. "What matters is performing duty no matter where or for which organization", so says Moazami.

At a farewell ceremony held in recognition of Dr. Moazami's services during the years he was with NPC, the company's top management acknowledged his efforts and contributions to the development of the country's petrochemical industry.

At the ceremony, NPC Presdient thanked Moazami for his activities in NPC and said, "NPC's Strategic Program, which we are currently implementing, was formulated when Dr. Moazami was the company's Director of Planning and Development.

The Program is a stride towards developing the country's petrochemicals sector and he had an important role in its formulation.

When he joined PCC, in spite of the fact that he had no prior experience in running a commercial organization, he was successful in managing the company and I hope his successor follows his steps." He wished Moazami success in his new capacity reiterating that "He is always welcome to rejoin NPC."
