National Petrochemical Co (NPC) and its future joint venture partners in a 300,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (ldPE) plant awarded a contract to the German contractor Lurgi and Iranian firm Sazeh to build the plant in Iran.

Iran Petrochemical Commercial Co (IPCC), the NPC's commercial arm, is mulling over concluding agency agreements with eligible trading/marketing companies in a bid to expand its marketing activities and networks.

NPC will hold its fourth Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF) on 18-19 May 2002 in Tehran, Iran.With petrochemical demand and output on the increase worldwide there is a need for in-depth discussions to examine the future trends in the petrochemical industry.
