PCC Shanghai, a subsidiary of the NPC's commercial arm,
Iran Petrochemical Commercial Co. (IPCC) has begun its
activities since 1 September 2001.
Based in PUDONG Free Trade Zone, China, PCC Shanghai markets
NPC's products in the region and trades petrochemicals from
other countries. IPCC has expanded its global network
by establishing offices in London, Hamburg, Beijing, Singapore,
Dubai and India.
IPCC has set up two new companies. The new companies are Terminals
and Export Storage Tanks Management Co. (TESTMCO) and General
Equipment Supply and Centralized Warehouses Co. (GESCWCO).
TESTMCO is set up to reduce costs of purchasing and speed up supply
of general equipment. With the construction of TESTMCO's warehousing
facilities, additional investment for constructing individual stores
and warehouses for NPC projects at Petzone and Parsee will be avoided.
GESCWCO is expected to help reduce the warehousing operation and costs
at the production facilities. It also helps IPCC to make much of the
existing loading/unloading terminals at complexes and devise longer-term
export planning.
