As fuel prices continue to escalate, the relevance of efficient energy management becomes apparent to all industries, including petrochemical industry.
As the core of the Iranian petrochemical industry, NPC has started carrying out a comprehensive energy efficiency program to institute correct energy use in its complexes, which produce a wide range of products. The program includes training of energy managers as well as carrying out energy audits.
As a part of the program, a target of 20% energy saving has been set for all the NPC's plants in the year 2000 which is to be achieved by tightening of operational control and improved housekeeping measures.
