Following previous negotiations between PCC, the commercial wing of NPC, and the Athens based Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), a delegation from NPC headed by PCC Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Moazami met with CCC officials in Greece. The two sides signed an agreement regarding cooperation in executing petrochemical and other industrial projects in Iran and third party countries, particularly in the Middle East.

By the end of December 1999, NPC exported 2,92 thousand tons of various petrochemicals, valued at US$ 502 million. The projection for the total value of NPC's export at the end of the Iranian calendar year, i.e. March 21, 2000, is US$ 600 million. Petrochemical Commercial Company (PCC), an NPC subsidiary, handles the sales and distribution of NPC's products. NPC's year-end production is expected to touch 12 million tons of various petrochemicals.
